Hi, we're Sandy Quast  and Jen McGonigal
Healthcare organizations face an unprecedented challenge: caring for those who spend their careers caring for others. Burnout, compassion fatigue, staffing shortages, and declining morale affect not only employees, but also patient care, retention, and the long-term health of an organization.
We understand these challenges because we've spent our careers helping healthcare and emergency service professionals navigate them—and we've experienced them ourselves.
As licensed professional counselors, we've worked alongside healthcare and emergency service professionals for decades, witnessing firsthand the emotional demands these careers place on individuals, families, and organizations. Like many professionals, we balanced demanding careers with the responsibilities of family life while working long, emotionally intensive days caring for others.
Eventually, we realized that even those trained to help others are not immune to burnout. Rather than accepting exhaustion as "part of the job," we committed to applying the same evidence-based strategies we had successfully used with our clients. The results transformed both our professional and personal lives.
That experience became the foundation for Welcome to Wellness.
Today, we combine decades of clinical expertise with practical, research-supported strategies to help healthcare and emergency service organizations build healthier, more resilient teams. Through engaging education, practical implementation, and ongoing support, we equip employees with skills that reduce burnout, strengthen well-being, and improve long-term engagement—helping organizations build a healthier, more resilient workforce.

Imagine a Healthier, More Resilient Workforce...
Your employees look forward to coming to work because they have practical, evidence-based tools to manage stress before it becomes burnout.
Instead of simply reacting to stress, your team develops the resilience to navigate the daily emotional demands of healthcare and emergency service work with greater confidence and emotional balance.
Your organization experiences improved morale, stronger teamwork, and healthier communication because employees feel supported—not just professionally, but personally.
Burnout no longer feels like an unavoidable part of the job. Your staff learn practical strategies they can use every day to reduce emotional exhaustion, increase fulfillment, and reconnect with why they chose this profession.
Rather than watching valuable employees leave because they're overwhelmed, you're investing in a culture that encourages people to stay, grow, and thrive.
Your staff gains confidence knowing they're providing meaningful support that benefits both employee well-being and organizational performance.
Employees carry these skills home, strengthening their relationships with their families and improving their overall quality of life.
Instead of another one-time motivational seminar that fades after a few days, your team receives an engaging, structured program that creates lasting habits and measurable change.
Most importantly, you're building a workplace where people don't just survive demanding careers—they flourish in them.
Because when your people are healthier, your organization becomes stronger.

Our Story
After more than 50 years of combined experience as licensed professional counselors, we noticed a common pattern.
The healthcare and emergency service professionals dedicating their lives to caring for others were often the ones receiving the least support themselves.
We also knew there was a better way.
Throughout our careers, we've helped people overcome trauma, anxiety, stress, and burnout using practical, evidence-based strategies. We realized those same principles could help healthcare organizations build healthier, more resilient teams.
That's why we created Welcome to Wellness.
Our mission is to equip healthcare and emergency service professionals with practical tools that reduce burnout, strengthen resilience, and help them thrive—both at work and at home.
