We know and understand the challenges and frustrations surrounding burnout in the medical profession. We have experienced this ourselves. We, like most medical professionals, wear many hats. In addition to managing the challenges of raising a family, we were working 10-12 hour days as therapists in a busy mental health practice. This grueling schedule caused us to hit the wall. We were feeling burnt out and knew we needed to make a change.
It was becoming clear that we would either flame out or overcome and bring a sense of balance and joy back into our lives. We made a decision that we would utilize the tools we taught in practice to improve our own work-life balance. This decision has been life changing, bringing our families a sense of peace and greater life satisfaction.
Over the years as therapists we've compiled a toolbox of proven techniques. These techniques have freed us from the stress and anxiety of burnout to create the work-life balance we both now enjoy!
Our productivity has increased, our stress levels decreased, and the joy we once had has returned in both our professional and personal lives.
Over the years we've worked with many medical professionals dealing with burnout in our practice, and we've found two things to be true. First, people in the medical profession love helping other people, and secondly, they tend to put themselves on the back burner.
We see burnout every day and it is a huge problem. So many medical professionals that we count on to care for us in our time of need are losing their light. As we all know, there are enormously high turnover rates in the medical professions and the costs associated with this are staggering.
It has become our mission to help those who help others to overcome burnout and to not only persevere, but to thrive!
